Update Tuesday 5 July 2016, 16:15: The application process is closed.
On 8 August, I board a plane to Cape Town for a 10 day startup challenge. The best part? You can join me on this entrepreneurial adventure to the the startup hub on the African Continent!
And flights and accommodation costs are covered for!
Wait, but WHAT!?
Me, and the Netherlands Consulate General in Cape Town, are looking for four Dutch energetic entrepreneurs to team up with South African startups to collaborate on local business challenges for #CoCreateSA.
The four changemakers we need:
- Someone who understands agri-technology and is familiar with Supply Chain Management in Holland.
- A business (and marketing) strategist who is specialized in the Internet of Things in Holland.
A Dutch disruptive thinker who is creative with non-traditional business models and structures.
- An experienced gaming enthusiast with sales/marketing experience and a broad network in the Dutch gaming industry.
Do you fit one of the above profiles or do you know someone who does?
Make sure to mention:
- Which of the four profiles you want to apply for?
- Why do you want to experiment the world with us?
- A link to your LinkedIn (or other social media) account?
During our stay in Cape Town, each entrepreneur gets connected to a South African startup and enters a 10 day business challenge. We also participate in the Open Design Festival and, watch Martijn Aslander, amongst others, speak on the Innovation Summit. Martijn is one of The Netherlands most progressive thinkers on tech, networking, marketing, sales and one of the global leading explorers of the information age. To prevent misunderstanding: Martijn is not part of the 10 day startup challenge.
Sounds cool, right?
How did this came about?
Last time I was in Cape Town, I ended my stay with an unexpected experiment at the Netherlands Consulate General.
The goal: To connect Dutch and South African entrepreneurs(hip).
We came up with the idea of a startup business challenge. Now, two months later, I have the opportunity to go back to execute the original idea and take four inspiring entrepreneurs with me. To say the least, I’m excited beyond words!
Are you an entrepreneur who’s up for a challenge?
Do you match one of the profiles?
And do you want to go to Cape Town from 8 until 21 August?
3x times? You have one thing to do: Reach out NOW!
To be sure it’s clear: The Netherlands Consulate General in Cape Town ultimately decides who is selected for the challenges.
